NetFlix to Stream “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Sixth and Final Season

February 16, 2014 – Just under a year ago, I posted that following Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilms, the powers that be had decided to shut down the Emmy Award-winning animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The final episode aired on March 2, 2013, and left important storylines unfinished.

Now comes Netflix to the rescue: Netflix will stream all thirteen episodes of the never-before-seen sixth and final season beginning March 7, 2014, in the USA and Canada. A UK date has yet to be determined. This move is consistent with Netflix’s bold shift into exclusive programming, including original series such as House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and four upcoming Marvel miniseries.
