July 30, 2014 – Harrison Ford (Han Solo) was spotted this week in Santa Monica, California – walking without his cast and near-normal again – as he made his way on the runway to catch a plane.
The 72-year-old actor (b. 13 JULY 1942) fractured a bone in his left leg during filming of Star Wars: Episode VII when a hydraulic door on a mock-up of the Millenium Falcon fell and crushed him. Director J.J. Abrams and his crew have rescheduled filming sequences of Han Solo for later during the filming period.
Despite earlier rumors that J.J. Abrams had requested additional time to film and edit, and that Disney chairman Bob Iger had declined the request, the film is still scheduled for a December 18, 2015 release date.
