March 3, 2015 – Great news, Lego and Star Wars fans: The Disney X-D channel will be showing five 22-minute episodes retelling the entire Star Wars saga as seen through the eyes of C-3PO and R2-D2.
Entitled “Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales,” the new series is set after the Ewok celebration at the end of Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. Our two favorite droids will be retelling their adventures starting with Episode I – The Phantom Menace and concluding with Return of the Jedi.

The 13 Droid episodes ran from September, 1985 through June, 1986. The series’ opening theme, “Trouble Again”, was sung by Stewart Copeland of The Police:
The new Disney series will air later this year and before the release of Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which debuts 18 December 2015. Expect lots and lots of Lego characters in the series – and on toy shelves just in time for the 2015 Winter Holidays buying season.
