Vanity Fair’s Exclusive “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Photos

May 6, 2015 – Vanity Fair has just emailed subscribers some behind-the-scenes exclusive photos of the cast and crew of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. All photographs were taken on set by Annie Leibovitz during filming of the seventh episode of the Star Wars saga.

The photographs both inform and tease. They help to flesh out and confirm some of the characters we’ve been hearing rumors about. Yet while feeding our hunger for information, we want more: “So actress Lupita Nyong’o plays the CGI-character, Maz Kanata. Who/what is Maz? She has her own castle? And who are all these rogue denizens (photo below)? (Echoes of Jabba the Hutt’s palace….)”

We don't know if he's a Sith, but Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) is clearly the new villain.  The frozen Hoth-like planet intrigues us.
