November 17, 2015 – Disneyland began its first annual “Season of the Force” event yesterday. One component is the former Space Mountain ride, which has been re-imagined as “Hyperspace Mountain” – a Star Wars-inspired roller-coaster ride through the galaxy. Watch the video below for a POV (point of view) preview:
A one-day ticket to Disneyland Park starts at $99.00, with multiple-day and park-hopper options boosting the price. See current ticket prices HERE.
The Hyperspace Mountain experience is unique to Disneyland in Anaheim and will not be replicated at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando.
Season of the Force is scheduled to run January 8 – March 20, 2016, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can look forward to:
● Star Wars-related merchandise, including limited edition and high-end items.
● Special foods and drink: Ready to try Aunt Beru’s blue milk (called Blue Milk Panna Cotta)? Or try Padawan Limeade, a BB-8 lemon-and-butter-cream cupcake, and a Han Solo Souvenir Kid’s Meal.
● A fireworks show called “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular’’ will be set to John Williams’ Star Wars scores every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the event.
Other event offerings will have begun in December, 2015, and will largely be permanent year-round attractions. These include the new Star Wars Launch Bay (opening December 1st, 2015); a new The Force Awakens video and other tweaks added to the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction (now showing); and a revamped Jedi Training Academy – to be renamed Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (early December).
