May 4, 2016 – Disney/LucasFilm announced today the 2017 location for Star Wars Celebration. In a return to the United States, Celebration will be held in Orlando, Florida over four days, 13-16 April 2017, at the cavernous Orange County Convention Center. [Click for Gmap]
2017 will mark the third time that Orlando has hosted Celebration, the largest global Star Wars convention. Previous visits to Orlando occurred with Celebration V (12-15 August 2010) and Celebration VI (16-19 August 2012).
Temperatures in Orlando in mid-April are usually pleasant and mild with minimal rain. The average low temperature is 59°F/15°C and the average high is 83°F/28°C.
Diverse attractions (Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Kennedy Space Center, etc.) make Orlando a popular draw.
Bracketed between the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Dec. 16th, 2016) and Star Wars Ep. VIII (Dec. 15th, 2017), Star Wars Celebration Orlando will have a frenzied abundance of celebrities, news, previews, collectors’ panels, vendors, and other activities to keep you busy for four days straight.
Tickets, including 4-day, single-day, and VIP passes, are scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, May 25th, at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. GMT at StarWarsCelebration.com
