New “Rogue One” SnapTite Model Kits from Revell

September 22, 2016 – For Star Wars vehicle collectors who don’t have the room for large-sized vehicles, or who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, there is an alternative.

Revell will be selling three all-new Rogue One SnapTite® vehicles beginning Sept. 30th. No tools, paint or glue is needed, and all model kits are fairly easy to assemble.

Rebel U-Wing Fighter

The Rebel U-Wing Fighter kit is 11″ L x 3.9″ W x 1.78″ H (28cm L x 9.9cm W x 4.5cm H). Two batteries are included to power the electronics:

·Battle Action Sounds
·Lighted cockpit with pilots
·Rotating wings (non-electric)
·Removable landing gear for display

Imperial AT-ACT Cargo Walker

After you’re done gagging on the price of Hasbro’s AT-ACT ($299.99), check out Revell’s more reasonably priced AT-ACT Cargo Walker.

The kit comes with 45 snap-together pieces as well as two batteries.

· Walking and battle action sounds
· Lighted command cockpit
· Full-motion positionable head
· Positionable feet
· Postionable multi-jointed legs

The AT-ACT measures 8.53″ L x 2.19″ W x 7.8″ H (21.7cm L x 5.5cm W x 19.8cm H).

We’re not sure why Revell’s AT-ACT has an orange cargo door while Hasbro’s door is yellow. Perhaps still images of the cargo door, bathed in the light of the rising sun, made them look orangey-yellow to the model designers at Hasbro and Revell?

Imperial Star Destroyer

Revell’s third new kit in honor of Rogue One is the Imperial Star Destroyer, which measures 15.78″ L x 8.66″ W x 4.15″ H (40cm L x 22cm W x 10.5cm H).

· Battle action sounds
· Lighted engines
· 8 positionable gun turrets
· Integrated folding stand for display

Visit Revell.com for the above three models as well as 18 previously released Star Wars vehicle kits. According to the Revell press release, all models are made with ABS plastic, include batteries, and take up to 60 minutes to build.

You can purchase the new model kits, beginning 30 Sept. 2016, at ToysRUs, Target and Hobby Lobby as well as online at Amazon and Revell. The cost of each Revell SnapTite kit is typically $20 to $35+.
