Vans Star Wars Shoes: Take a Walk on the Dark Side

Vans-Logo&DeathStarMastOctober 29, 2014 – Tired of wearing the same old flip-flops or worn-out shoes? Wishing you could add some intergalactic pizzaz to your Yoda-weary feet? Then take a walk on the Dark Side and head to your nearest Vans shoe store or find them online HERE. The adult-sized shoes (men’s and women’s sizes) start at around $60.00. Some are slip-ons, others are traditional shoelaced, and all are mighty comfortable and fun to wear.

Earlier this summer, Vans released a fleet of classically-inspired Star Wars shoes. As of fall, 2014, there are at least eighteen (18) unique designs in adult sizes and eight (8) designs exclusively for children and toddlers (click photos to enlarge).Vans-StarWarsEra-ClassicRepeatVans-StarWarsAuthenticVans-BobaFettCamo

This Vans Classic Slip-on (color design name: A New Hope) pays homage to the 1977 classic film poster. This pair is one of my favorites ($60.00).

Vans-2-CustomPrints Here’s another bonus: For a limited time (October 15 through November 15, 2014), you can custom-order your Vans shoes: You select the shoe style (Sk8-Hi, Slip-On or Authentic), your size and a custom-design, and Vans will deliver to you (free shipping on orders $49 or more). The other GREAT bonus is the cool Star Wars shoe box. (It's a keeper.) Stormtrooper (Black Series six-inch) not included.

Thankfully, Vans selected classic characters and images from the Original Trilogy (Yoda, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, stormtroopers, etc.) and stayed away from the dreadful prequel characters (no Gungans or Jar Jar Binks to despoil your shoes). So put on a pair and dance your way back to the classic Star Wars era.
