May 4, 2015 – Banners and flags have flown proudly in some of the Star Wars episodes. Think of the prelude to the Pod Race in The Phantom Menace (1999) as well as various celebratory scenes. And now the second trailer for The Force Awakens shows a massive black-and-red Empire banner dwarfing the stormtroopers below.
Thanks to designs and seven pattern downloads from Jedi Master Heidi at maythefourthbewithyoupartyblog.com, you can inexpensively create a banner from one of seven Jedi or Empire logos pictured below.
The materials you will need are fairly inexpensive:
● Plastic Tablecloth (about 54″ x 108″; try your local dollar store)
● Spray Mount
● Clear Packing Tape
● Foamcore (or thick cardboard)
● Scissors/X-acto Knife
● Download and print the Star Wars icons (FREE) from SigmaEcho.com. The font style, including logos, is called “SF Distant Galaxy Symbols”. Just click on the symbol to download.

If you would rather just purchase pre-made banners (“Happy Birthday”; “Jedi Training Academy”; etc.), that’s fine, too. For a great selection, see what’s available by the creators at Etsy HERE.
