April 19, 2015 – Mattel has released photos of its new Star Wars-themed Hot Wheels cars, to be released later this year. They include a rather shiny C-3PO car; a lean ‘n mean Inquisitor vehicle; a duo set featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi versus Darth Vader; and a furry-looking off-road vehicle sporting spears and rocks in honor of Wicket.
Prices for single cars have typically retailed between $3.49 (e.g., Walmart) and $3.99 each (ToysRUs, Walgreens, others). No specific dates have been announced for the roll-out of these Hot Wheels cars other than “later this year”.
